PARRYS International Wolves suffered their heaviest defeat of the season as they went down 53-37 at King's Lynn.
Despite a gutsy performance, Wolverhampton were undone by a strong Stars side led by an 18-point maximum from reserve Richie Worrall.
And boss Peter Adams was frustrated to meet another in-form reserve.
He said: "It's a disappointing result, and that's the second away meeting in a row we've met a reserve who has scored almost 20 points.
"He was obviously the difference between the sides - but you can't expect much more whilst we have such a patched up team."
Polish racer Adam Skornicki top scored for the Monmore men as he bagged double-figures for the second time this week, whilst Fredrik Lindgren also made ten despite a slightly off-night.
Youngster Jacob Thorssell impressed on his first visit to the Norfolk Arena with 6+2 - yet with Ludvig Lindgren and Ricky Wells both struggling, Wolves fell short of a point.
WOLVERHAMPTON 37: Adam Skornicki 11+1, Freddie Lindgren 10, Scott Nicholls 7, Jacob Thorssell 6+2, Ludvig Lindgren 2+1, Ricky Wells 1+1, Ty Proctor r/r.
