WOLVERHAMPTON’S team is complete for 2014 following the signing of Polish youngster Piotr Pawlicki.

Pawlicki, 19, has had brief spells with Coventry and Poole but is ready for a full-time spot in British racing.
He will arrive with a seven-point average and that means a space for American ace Ricky Wells back with the Parrys International Wolves.

Wolverhampton owner Chris Van Straaten is pleased to have a new, fresh face on board.

“Piotr comes in on a seven-point average which is pretty high, but that has been judged on his performances in Sweden and Poland which have been very impressive,” he said.

“He’s an exciting talent and I believe he will take a bit of time to settle in at Monmore – the team will be a slow burner, it will get better as the season progresses in my view.

“Ricky has been texting me every day, he was desperate to be back and because of the way the team has been built now with Tai Woffinden and Piotr, the space was there to put Ricky in the final team place.

“It means the team is now complete and I believe we have one of the most exciting in the league.”
Pawlicki, meanwhile, is delighted to be heading to Monmore Green.

“I would like to say thank you to the Wolverhampton Speedway management for their faith in me and to Krystian Plech for handling the negotiations.

“I would like to wish all Wolverhampton supporters a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing everyone for what I hope will be an exciting and enjoyable 2014.”
