SAM’S THE MAN FOR WOLVES

Friday December 01, 2017
SAM Masters is the second man to sign for Wolverhampton next season.

Aussie ace Masters, who made another appearance as a wildcard in the Grand Prix in Melbourne, is raring to go after making a full recovery from his collarbone injury.

And he will be concentrating on top flight racing after confirming he won’t be racing in the Championship.

He joins Kyle Howarth back at Monmore for the Parrys International Wolves as they aim to go one better than last season by winning the title.

Said Masters: “I feel very lucky that my average is under eight and I have managed to keep my place at Wolverhampton, as I know unfortunately that’s been a problem for some riders with the new rules.

“I guess I have my collarbone to thank for that. I am honoured to be riding for Wolverhampton again for my third consecutive season, as it’s a place I enjoy turning up to every week.

“I feel I can step up my game and show the fans, club and promotion my full potential and hopefully as a team bring back some gold. See you all soon!”

Boss Peter Adams said: “Sam was under pressure due to his demanding schedule last season and he paid the price for that.

“He didn’t do himself justice for Australia in the World Cup and he suffered a collarbone injury towards the end of the season.

“He’s a quality rider and we are pleased to welcome him back to Wolverhampton. I’m sure a fully fit and refreshed Sam Masters will be a great plus for the team, it’s a big season for him and or the club.”
